SENATE CONCURRENT RESOLUTION NO. 60

Bowman, Wooton, Jackson, Craigo, Chafin, Plymale, Bailey and
Tomblin, Mr. President)
Requesting the Division of Highways name the new bridge in Star
City, Monongalia County, the "Edith B. Barill Bridge".
Whereas, The late Edith B. Barill served the citizens of Star
City with honor and distinction as mayor; and
Whereas, On March 20, 2001, the town council of Star City
adopted a motion requesting the new Star City bridge be named the
"Edith B. Barill Bridge" as a lasting tribute to her distinguished
service as mayor; therefore, be it
Resolved by the Legislature of West Virginia:
That the Legislature hereby requests the Division of Highways
name the new bridge in the town of Star City, Monongalia County,
the "Edith B. Barill Bridge"; and, be it
Further Resolved, That the Commissioner is requested to have
made and be placed, at either end of the bridge, signs identifying
the bridge as the "Edith B. Barill Bridge"; and, be it
Further Resolved, That the Clerk of the Senate is hereby directed to forward a copy of this resolution to the Commissioner
of the Division of Highways.
